Sunday at home

Well, it's Sunday.  The weather is awful and I am making a Julia Child recipe for beouf bourguignon . It is quite the extensive recipe, however, I love to cook so it's alright.  What else is a Sunday for ?

Yesterday took me out to Sublimity, Silverton and Salem.  Very nice drive inspite of the rain.  I'll have to make a point to visit those areas again.  The countryside is really beautiful.  I didn't know it before yesterday.
So, if you get a chance, I recommend you travel out that way, too.

Day 2 of New Blog..Great Big Red Frame

What do you think ?  Pretty neat, huh?  This is one of the oldest items that I still have in my personal possession that I bought to sell.  I bought it in 2006 and I painted it a red lacquer, put a galvanized sheet behind it and have been using it as a magnet board in my studio ever since.

Maybe one day I'll get the itch to sell it but for now.....it's mine !

Recycle, Reuse and Repurpose...all in a day's work !

Recycle, repurpose and reuse.  That's what I do. 

This photo is an example of the type of little things I do with left over wood, old typewriter keys and other stuff.  This happens to be a photo frame.  The man's head can be removed and then replaced with a nice photo of your own.  Kinda quirky, kinda odd but you know, I only make one of each design and this went pretty quickly.

So, how about you ?  Do you recycle or repurpose ?  Do you have something really cool to share with us on this subject ?  I'd like to hear from you and possibly start to share some ideas with the rest of blogland....how about it !?
